Race for the Galaxy is one of our favorite new apps of the year, and one of our favorites of any year. The app is a polished implementation of the classic game with a great AI system to play against and a smooth online game. Pretty great first year for the app, I'd say, but, wait, there's more! Coming December 14, The Brink of War expansion will be available as an in-app purchase for $3.99. The Brink of War adds four new starting worlds, thirty six new game cards, and give new goals. The Brink of War is a well-received addition to the physical board game, and we fully expect it will carry over well into the digital game. The Brink of War will be the third expansion available for the app, following Gathering Storm and Rebel vs. Imperium, both of which made a seamless transition to the app world.
The expansion will be available after an app update which will also bring a long some minor changes for everybody. Those will include an update tutorial, better phrase tooltips, more language support, and duplicate card treatment.

Description

History
This third expansion includes four new starting worlds, thirty six new developments to build and worlds to settle, five new goals, and prestige. Prestige adds a new way to earn victory and gain the advantage against opponents. A powerful new action, Search, lets players find particular types of cards to compliment their galactic strategies.
